iHeartRadio Partners With Microsoft Groove

iHeartRadio has announced that it has become the first ever third party streaming service to be integrated with Groove, Microsoft’s music service available on Windows devices, Xbox consoles, and Android or iPhone handsets.

Through this partnership, iHeartRadio will become the exclusive digital radio provider on Groove for all U.S consumers who have upgraded to Windows 10. This partnership comes on the heels of iHeartRadio’s recent integration with Windows 10.

The iHeartRadio streaming experience will add a new dimension to Groove's already intuitive listening experience by offering users the ability to discover new music from the best artist-based Custom Stations and Live Radio stations in the country - spanning all genres from Pop, Country, Hip-Hop, R&B, Alternative, Rock and more. In addition to Groove’s massive library of songs, listeners will also have access to iHeartRadio’s catalog of more than 20 million songs and 800,000 artists as well as thousand of Live Radio stations.

“We are thrilled to bring iHeartRadio to Groove to create a complete, end to end music experience for Windows 10 consumers,” said Todd Brix, GM of the Windows Store and Developer Marketing for Microsoft. “Groove delivers one place to access your music, your radio stations and your premium subscription music.”

Michele Laven
“Partnering with Groove is a natural fit for iHeartRadio and we’re thrilled to be their exclusive source for all of Groove listeners’ custom and live radio station needs,” said Michele Laven, President of Business Development and Partnerships for iHeartMedia. “Sharing our passion for music is at the core of everything we do at iHeartRadio and our custom curated stations will enable Groove listeners to just lean back and enjoy with just one touch of a button.”

Groove is the new music app and service for Windows 10. With Groove, customers can enjoy their current collection, discover new music and create custom playlists. Groove is designed to give you the perfect music experience – not just for your Windows10 devices. Any MP3s added to OneDrive automatically appear in the user’s Collection folder, allowing for easy playback on other devices: PCs, tablets, Windows Phones, and Xbox—for free.  The app is best experienced, however, when used with a Groove Music Pass. For a low monthly fee, the Groove Music Pass lets listeners stream and download music from one of the largest music catalogs on the planet on a PC, tablet, Xbox, and other devices (including iOS and Android).
