WW One Offers Spot-Free Veterans Day Series

In honor of Veterans Day, Westwood One News is offering stations an 11-part series of original content about the men and women who make up the U.S. veteran population.

The series of :60-second features includes perspectives from national leaders and from veterans of all ages as they reflect on their service and day set aside to honor it.

The series is available to stations for broadcast on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2015. In addition, it will be available on demand on audioBoom as part of the Westwood One Podcast and On Demand platform. The features are reported and produced by Westwood One News national security correspondent and anchor Chas Henry, a combat-decorated veteran and former captain of the U.S. Marine Corp.

These special one-minute stories will examine health, education, and readjustment issues impacting military veterans. They also provide listeners with ways they can show respect and concern for those who’ve worn their nation’s uniform by participating in a day of service to those who’ve served, in lieu of a random “Thanks for your service.”
