Several on-air Capital Region radio personalities have left under budget cuts announced at Latham-based Albany Broadcasting Co.
General Manager Bryan Hollenbaugh said that Bob Green from WROW Magic 590-AM / W263CG 100.5 T-FM is retiring, and Marissa Lanchak from Top40 WFLY 92.3-FM and Camen Hsieh from WAJZ Jamz 96.3-FM have also left their respective stations.
“We have made some budget cuts as the radio industry continues to evolve. We are trying to make our business more efficient,” Hollenbaugh told the Times-Union. “We have had some good people move on and we wish them the best.”
Hollenbaugh said existing staff at the station will be redeployed to fill the slots being vacated. Lanchak has been with WFLY for nearly a decade, while Hsieh joined JAMZ in 2013.
Albany Broadcasting Co. is part of Pamal Broadcasting Ltd., which owns more than two dozen radio stations in New York, Vermont and Florida. Its principal is Albany auto dealer James Morrell.
