Nashville Radio: Dave Ramsey Puts $15M+ Home On The Block

Radio talk host and personal financial guru Dave Ramsey has listed his hilltop estate in Franklin for sale, seeking a price of $15.45 million.

Ramsey, the personal finance guru whose talk-radio show airs on more than 600 stations, started his Ramsey Solutions financial counseling business almost 30 years ago. Today, it's one of the largest private employers in Williamson County near Nashville, with close to 1,000 employees at a multi-building headquarters in Franklin's Berry Farms development. Ramsey has become one of the biggest talk-radio personalities in the nation.

A new Redfin listing describes Ramsey's estate as a 14.4-acre property flanked by undeveloped "buffer lots" and sitting atop a hill at an elevation of 1,150 feet with clear vistas of sunset. The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom residence includes more than 13,500 square feet of living space, according to the listing.

"The Nashville real estate market is so great right now, Dave and Sharon are taking the opportunity to build on land they own south of the city," said a Ramsey Solutions spokeswoman.

The Nashville Business Journal reports County property records show Ramsey built the home in 2009, a year after he paid $1.6 million for the lot with his wife. There are no loans in county records tied to the property for either the land purchase or home construction, in keeping with Ramsey's core advice to live debt-free.
