TX Radio: KLJT Fires PD/Morning Host After Charges

Top40 KLJT 95.3 FM / 102.9 FM in Tyler-Jacksonville TX has fired its PD and morning show host after his second arrest in less than a month.

Patrick Aaron 'Brain' Aguirre, 39, was charged last week with engaging in criminal organized activity and manufacturing of a controlled substance. He also was arrested May 3 on drug possession charges.

Aguirre was booked Thursday into the Smith County Jail on bonds totaling $850,000.

"Because of the seriousness of these most recent charges, and the potential for damage to the company, (Aguirre) can no longer work for Waller Media," Bill Waller, president of Waller Broadcasting, said in a statement.
