Wardlaw developed pneumonia last August and spent more than a month in the local hospital. He later developed a heart condition and died of heart complications.
Wardlaw had worked for FM-95 for more than 20 years, where he was a disc jockey and co-host of the morning program with radio station owner Ed Stanford.
“Our different opinions on different matters were a good fit. I lost a friend and good employee. He has been missed the last two weeks and will continue to be missed,” Stanford said.
Wardlaw was a gifted musician who played in several bands during his lifetime.
