Miami Radio: Entercom Extends PD, Host Mijo

Entercom has announced a new multiyear contract extension with Miguel “Mijo” Irizarry. “Mijo” will remain as Program Director and midday show host on WPOW Power 96 FM in Miami.

“‘Mijo’ has been a strong force in the Power 96 studio over the last year,” said Keriann Worley, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom South Florida. “We are thrilled that he will continue to lead one of our most iconic brands in our cluster.”

Mijo joined Power 96 in August 2017. He assumed the role of Program Director for Power 96 in October 2018. He has also previously held on-air roles for sister station 96.5 TDY (WTDY-FM, then Wired 96.5) in Philadelphia and Hot 104.7 in Portland, ME, where he also served as the station’s Music Director.
