NESN Names Broadcast Team For MLB Red Sox

NESN has unveiled its official lineup of MLB Red Sox broadcasters for the 2025 season.

Dave O’Brien, marking his 10th year with NESN and 19th overall calling Red Sox games, will continue as the primary play-by-play announcer, with Mike Monaco stepping in as needed.

Lou Merloni will serve as the lead color analyst, contributing to over 100 NESN broadcasts. The Framingham native and ex-Red Sox infielder will also occasionally join the WEEI radio broadcast team.

Returning as color analysts are Will Middlebrooks and Kevin Millar. Middlebrooks will play a significant role in WEEI’s broadcasts while also appearing on NESN’s pre- and postgame shows. Millar, who typically covers 15-20 games each season, will maintain his presence in the booth. Jahmai Webster returns for his eighth season as the in-game reporter.

Kevin Youkilis, a fixture in the NESN booth for the past three years, is not currently slated to call any games in 2025. When pressed for clarification, a NESN spokesperson stated, “This is our announcer roster for the 2025 season as of now. We’ll be sharing details on additional Red Sox programming and the talent involved in the coming weeks.”

The studio crew features host Tom Caron, a NESN veteran since 1995 and part of Red Sox broadcasts for 24 years. Adam Pellerin also returns as a host, joined by returning studio analysts Jim Rice, Jonathan Papelbon, Lenny DiNardo, and Deven Marrero.
