Johnstown-Altoona Radio: Dan Thomas Lands OM Gig


Seven Mountains Media has announced veteran programmer Dan Thomas Slivensky has been appointed as Operations Manager, overseeing the Altoona and Johnstown, PA markets. Thomas returns to the contiguous United States after spending the last six years as an Account Executive for iHeartMedia in Anchorage.

JC Burton, Seven Mountains' Chief Programming Officer, made the announcement, stating, "We are excited to have Dan Thomas join us as Operations Manager for Altoona and Johnstown. His tireless work ethic, varied experience, and enthusiasm for radio make him an ideal candidate for this position. Dan's extensive industry background has molded him into an exceptional leader, and we look forward to the positive influence he will have on our stations and communities."

Thomas brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously worked in the Anchorage market for 15 years (1995-2010) with companies such as Alaska Integrated Media, Ohana, Tati, Clear Channel, Morris, and Pioneer. He later served as Operations Manager for Results Radio's four-station cluster in Chico, CA, and Townsquare's group in Grand Junction, CO. Additionally, Thomas programmed Lotus Classic Rock KKBZ (105.1 The Blaze) in Fresno.

Commenting on his new position, Thomas said, "I have always respected Seven Mountains Media's dedication to live, local radio and their commitment to serving communities, clients, and listeners. After meeting with Market Manager Bobbie Castellucci and Chief Programming Officer JC Burton, the decision to join was simple."

In April 2019, Thomas rejoined iHeart Anchorage as an Account Executive, collaborating with retired Market Manager Andy Lohman and current Market Manager Kim Williams.
