As Region Senior Vice President of Programming, Knight will oversee programming for all stations in the Austin and San Antonio markets and will be the Program Director for Q 101.9. He will report to Matt Martin, Region President for iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio.
“Chuck has an extensively long track record of tremendous success and is an amazingly talented leader and programmer,” said Martin. “We are very excited to have him join our market, steer our brands and continue to develop our team of talented program directors.”
Knight joins the region from iconic A/C WBEB, in Philadelphia, where he most recently served as the Program Director for 11 years. In addition, he worked as the Program Director for several stations, including WENS, KRNQ and WLXR and was the Director of Programming Operations for Saga Communications in Columbus, Ohio.“It’s an honor to join the industry-leading iHeartMedia family,” said Knight. “I’m looking forward to learning a lot from the awesome, market-leading teams and great brands in San Antonio and Austin as well as contributing to the regions ongoing success.”
In addition to Knights new elevated role, Brian Gann will continue to serve as the Program Director for WOAI 1200 AM and will focus on a variety of iHeartMedia’s spoken word stations.
