He was 44.
Peterson, who was program director and midday personality
for KDCD Lonestar 92.9, died in a hospital after suffering a major stroke,
according to a news release from Four R Broadcasting.
Peterson, who also was known as “Gibby” to colleagues and
friends, had been with Four R since September 2010 and was named program
director for KDCD since April 2012. He was originally from West Fargo , N.D.
He was described as “respected and loved by his listeners,
co-workers and record industry professionals,” in the news release.
Funeral and burial services are pending.
