This marks a record-breaking year for the fundraiser, topping the $160,000 that the station raised in 2018.
“The ‘WSSP Toy Drive’ being in its 13th year is truly remarkable,” said Chuck Sullivan, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Milwaukee. “Our listeners have gone above and beyond to help benefit Children’s Wisconsin and Robyn’s Nest and put smiles on children’s faces.”
The “WSSP Toy Drive” was broadcast live from Blain’s Farm & Fleet in Oak Creek, WI from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT from Monday, December 2 to Friday, December 6. Programming featured several special guests including former Green Bay Packer LeRoy Butler, former Milwaukee Buck Jon McGlocklin and Milwaukee Brewers General Manger David Stearns.
As one of the nation’s top pediatric health systems, Children’s Wisconsin provides pediatric-trained experts for kids of all ages who receive care for everything from routine checkups to the most serious and complex conditions at more than 40 locations throughout the state. The organization is the region’s only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children.
Robyn’s Nest houses and provides new and gently used clothing, hygiene products, infant items, toys, books, and other household goods to families within its foster care system and to those identified to have unmet needs through Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
