SiriusXM Launches Dolly Tribute Channel

SiriusXM has launched a dedicated Dolly Parton Tribute Channel on Channel 105, available immediately in vehicles and on the SiriusXM app, following the death of the country music icon on Tuesday in Nashville.

Parton, 80, died peacefully at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced the news in a video posted to her official Instagram account on behalf of the family.

The new channel features music from Parton’s extensive catalog—including hits such as “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You”—along with songs from her friends and collaborators and programming that celebrates her decades-long career. A live tribute show hosted by Cody Alan aired Tuesday night.

In a family statement, relatives described “a rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see,” adding that “Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family.”

President Donald Trump ordered flags at the White House lowered to half-staff in her honor.

A small private service will be held for close family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at imaginationlibrary.com.
