The problem began around 12:15 p.m. Eastern Time during a live roundtable on “Inside Politics with Dana Bash.” The signal on both channels deteriorated and remained disrupted for at least 20 minutes.
Service returned around 12:45 p.m. but remained iffy for about five more minutes before regular programming resumed.
“Inside Politics” continued airing for roughly 15 minutes amid the glitch. CNN then switched to a rebroadcast of “The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper” about Apple’s history. Bash returned to the air around 12:51 p.m. and noted the interruption that had kept viewers from the network’s regular programming.

In a statement, the network’s publicity department said: “We are aware of a technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery that resulted in losing CNN channels for a period of time today. We are working quickly to resolve it and apologize for the interruption.”
CNN provided no further details on the cause. The outage affected all pay-television providers and the CNN app for All Access subscribers. Other Warner Bros. Discovery channels were not impacted.
