iHeartMedia has announced Philadelphia rock radio veteran Jaxon is officially returning to the airwaves and re-joining WRFF (ALT 104.5), Philadelphia’s Alternative, as weekday midday host.
Jaxon will host middays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including the signature hour Post Modern Radio 104.5 from 12–1 p.m., spotlighting alternative hits and deeper cuts from the 1980s through the 2000s. The show continues ALT 104.5’s commitment to honoring Philadelphia’s rich alternative music legacy while connecting generations of listeners through storytelling and shared musical history. Jaxon’s return reinforces ALT 104.5’s focus on authentic voices, music discovery and community connection—pillars that continue to define the station’s brand in the Philadelphia market.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Jaxon back to where he belongs — on the Philadelphia airwaves, connecting with the listeners who’ve been part of his story for two decades,” said Dustin Matthews, ALT 104.5 Director of Programming and Brand Strategy. “With Post Modern Radio 104.5, he’ll continue to tell the stories and play the music that honors Philadelphia’s alternative history, from the ’80s through the 2000s.”
A former WMMR radio personality, Jaxon is a familiar and trusted voice to Philadelphia audiences, brings more than 20 years of experience on the city’s airwaves and a deep connection to the artists, scenes and listeners that shaped the market’s alternative sound.
“I’m back where I belong,” said Jaxon. “I’m fired up to be rejoining Dustin Matthews and the ALT 104.5 family in Philadelphia. After two decades on the Philly airwaves, I’ve learned one thing — stepping away never lasts long. This city and its radio always pull me back.”
