Wichita Radio: Audacy Extends WSS Sports Broadcast Deal

Audacy has extended its broadcast partnership with Wichita State Athletics for multiple years, continuing a collaboration that dates back over 50 years. The new two-year deal keeps 103.7 KEYN as the flagship station for all Wichita State men's basketball games and selected women's basketball games, including postseason action. Baseball broadcasts, including playoffs, will remain exclusive to KFH Radio (97.5/1240).

The agreement also includes producing and distributing weekly coaches' podcasts across various sports during their seasons.

"We're proud to uphold our 50-plus-year legacy as the radio home of Shocker sports," said Tommy Castor, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Audacy Wichita. "This partnership with Wichita State Athletics underscores our dedication to the community and engaging fans across generations. We're thrilled to deliver top-tier play-by-play and exclusive insights that make every game come alive for Shocker supporters."

Madison Stein-Mason, Deputy AD for External Affairs & Revenue Generation at Wichita State Athletics, commented, "This renewal enhances how fans connect with our programs. By expanding broadcasts and coaches' discussions to additional platforms, we're opening up fresh opportunities for the community to engage with Shocker Athletics year-round."

The deal secures Mike Kennedy, the "Voice of the Shockers," for his 48th season announcing Shocker basketball and baseball. It was brokered by Shocker Sports Properties, part of Playfly Sports, which manages Wichita State Athletics' multimedia rights.
