Chicago Radio: Mix Men Raise $321K+ To Combat Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the sixth consecutive year The Men of the Mix fronted by Morning Mix host Chris Petlak, teamed up with the Men Wear Pink campaign to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, an organization leading the breast cancer fight in the 21st century.

For the third year in a row, The Men of the Mix hosted a comedy night at Zanies Rosemont. This sold-out event featured stand-up comedy, performances of favorite features from The Morning Mix and Afternoon Mix.

The Men of The Mix helped raise $391,942 for the American Cancer Society of Greater Chicagoland, placing the Chicago team fourth in nationwide campaigns for total funds raised. Every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society save lives from breast cancer by funding innovative breast cancer research, providing education and guidance to help people reduce their risk, and offering comprehensive patient
care.

Chris Petlak, host of The Morning Mix, shared, “Thanks to our incredible Mix audience, we’re helping push the fight against breast cancer forward—supporting families, researchers, doctors, and those facing this disease head-on. I’m grateful to Whip and McCabe—The Men of The Mix—and our partner Zanies Rosemont for joining us. Serving as a member of the Executive Men Wear Pink Committee, I’m inspired by what we achieved together!”

Chris Eagen, Vice President of Brand and Content at 101.9 The MIX, said, “Chris once again led the Men Wear Pink campaign with incredible energy and vision. By rallying Morning Mix news personality Whip and Afternoon Mix host McCabe, he helped turn dedication into real results—raising meaningful support for those affected by breast cancer.”
