Eric Brooks |
Ahead of Good Karma Brands taking control of WTMJ Thursday, Brooks has announced he will be joing Entercom's KCBS 740 AM / 106.9 FM in San Francisco as Assistant News Director.
WTMJ's outgoing General manager Tom Langmyer says Brooks has “grown tremendously” during his eight years at WTMJ.
“As director of news & programming at WTMJ, we’ve counted on his being dedicated and engaged every day on content – and he’s challenged our team to lead on topics, stories, events, and community service.”
Brooks comments, “For someone who has been a news/talk/sports broadcaster, this is a dream come true. The Bay Area is one of the richest markets for spoken-word formats and I’m beyond humbled to join Jennifer Seelig and the talented team at KCBS. My thanks to Steve Wexler, Tom Langmyer, and Scripps for the tremendous opportunity and trust in leading this great heritage brand over the past few years. Milwaukee is a very special place with very special people, many of whom are lifelong friends.”
Brooks starts at KCBS-AM on November 12.
