Cincy Radio: Marty Brennaman To Return To Reds Radio


The legendary Marty Brennaman will return to the radio booth for the Cincinnati Reds in 2019, according to the Brennaman Report Facebook Page.

Brennaman's wife Amanda, who runs the page, made the announcement over the weekend.

"The Reds named a new Manager, David Bell, while we were away and the World Series is just about over and the 2018 season will officially be closed.

I have gotten a few questions about Marty and yes, he will be returning to the booth for the 2019 season.

Brennaman was the 2000 recipient of the National Baseball Hall of Fame's Ford C. Frick Award and he has a "retired microphone" at Great American Ball Park alongside microphones honoring Waite Hoyt and Brennaman's longtime broadcast partner, Joe Nuxhall.

Brennaman has been inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame and the National Radio Hall of Fame.
