Elvis Duran’s Carney Awards Was Star-Studded Affair

The most recognizable faces in television and film were at The Carney Awards Sunday night.  Joe Morton, Jessica Walter, Joe Pantoliano, M. Emmet Walsh, James Cromwell and Bruce Greenwood were honored for their outstanding achievements in character acting. 

Actor Patton Oswalt brought a layer of humor as this year’s host, while performers Donny Most (Happy Days) and his Orchestra and recording artist Lily Meola lent their musical talents to the ceremony. 

Mike Farrell, Harrison Ford, Marilu Henner, Debbie Allen, Gregg Henry and Stephen Tobolowsky served as presenters during the show, which will be telecast on Tribune Broadcasting’s New York flagship, PIX11, on Saturday, November 24 at 8 p.m. EST. 

Named in honor of the late, great Oscar and six-time Emmy winning actor Art Carney, The Carney Awards were created by Elvis Duran Group CEO David Katz, his brother Jim Katz, an Emmy Award winning producer, and Brian Carney, actor/voice-over artist and Art’s son.

The Carney Awards is a joint production between The Elvis Duran Group and Radcliffe Road Pictures. National radio personality Elvis Duran, the Katz brothers and Carney are executive producers.

Past honorees include William H. Macy, Wendie Malick, William Fichtner, Richard Kind, Xander Berkeley, Gary Cole, Stephen Tobolowsky, Dan Hedaya, Conchata Ferrell, Steve Buscemi, Bob Balaban, Michael Ealy, Bruce McGill, David Paymer, CCH Pounder and Jonathan Banks.
