Indy Radio: The Fan Teams Up With WNBA Indiana Fever

The Urban Radio Group station in Indianapolis that has become the flagship station for the WNBA’s Indiana Fever is WFNI, 93.5/107.5 The Fan.

WFNI broadcasts on 1070 AM, with FM translators at 93.5 MHz (W228CX) and 107.5 MHz (W298BB), as well as WIBC-HD2.

WFNI announced a partnership with Pacers Sports & Entertainment Friday to become the official radio broadcast partner of the Indiana Fever, a WNBA team based in Indianapolis.

The Fan will broadcast all 2025 pre-season and regular season Indiana Fever games, starting with the first pre-season game on May 3, 2025, against the Washington Mystics. Play-by-Play Announcer: John Nolan, a veteran sports broadcaster, will provide play-by-play commentary. Bria Goss, an Indianapolis native and former University of Kentucky basketball player, will offer analysis.

Significance: This partnership reflects the growing popularity of the Indiana Fever, driven by stars like Caitlin Clark (2024 No. 1 draft pick) and Aliyah Boston (2023 No. 1 draft pick and WNBA Rookie of the Year). The Fan’s broadcasts aim to bring fans closer to the team’s journey, particularly as the Fever push for a playoff return.

Andrea Kahrer, Radio One VP/General Manager, emphasized the partnership’s role in delivering premier sports coverage and supporting women’s professional basketball. “We look forward to bringing Fever fans across Indiana closer to the action, and sharing in the excitement of the team’s journey,” Kahrer said.
