Philly Radio: Bob Cooney Added To WPEN Morning Show

Beasley Media Group has announced Bob Cooney has joined Anthony Gargano as Co-host of the WPEN 97.5 FM/The Fanatic Morning Show. Cooney had been filling in on the FANATIC for several months.

While Cooney is best known for his years as the Sixers beat writer, the sports media veteran has covered everything from the Flyers and Eagles to the World Series and the U.S. Open during his 25 years with the Philadelphia Daily News. He also covered the “Big 5” for many years before becoming the Philadelphia 76ers Beat Writer in 2009. Bob was named the “Pennsylvania Sports Writer of the Year” in 2016.

His reputation is incredible. Bob and Anthony are the perfect team to serve as the official voice of the Philly sports fan!”
