St. Louis Radio: Morning Host Cornbread leaving WIL-FM


There was a big announcement Tuesday morning from a familiar voice on St. Louis airwaves. Cornelous Breadinski III better known as Cornbread at Country WIL 92.3 FM made it official during an announcement. He's leaving...last day on the air will be this Friday, April 24.

"I want to see my little girl get on the bus in the morning, and I want to plan the next big adventure," Cornbread said Tuesday morning.

On Friday morning, April 24th Cornbread and 92.3 WIL will be hosting “Cornbread’s World’s Largest Farewell Pajama Party” from 6:00 until 10:00 am at Ballpark Village, on the Fox Sports Midwest LIVE Stage, in downtown St. Louis.

92.3 WIL’s “fan farewell festivities” will include FREE breakfast for the first 92 loyal listeners at the door, and after that it’s a special $4.92 breakfast deal.

The day will include photos and video memories of Cornbread’s last 11 years in St. Louis radio will be flashed up on the big screen. Listeners can also sign the giant going away card, and a whole host of “surprise” guests will be making an appearance to wish Cornbread well during this goodbye extravaganza.
