Starting on Sept.8, Olbermann’s timeslot will shift from 11 p.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET, and switch from a hourlong format to a half-hour-long format, freeing up time for the commentator to host segments of ESPN’s SportsCenter.
Olbermann previously hosted SportsCenter from 1992 until 1997, when he left under contentious circumstances with ESPN.
