Sony Music Nashville has hired Dennis Reese as the senior vice president for promotion at RCA Nashville, the company announced on Monday.

The Tennessean reports Reese arrives at Sony having most recently worked at Epic Records following an 11-year stint as senior vice president for promotion at Capitol Records.

He will report to Executive Vice President for Promotion and Artist Development Steve Hodges.

In his new role, Reese will be in charge of promoting the music by artists on the RCA roster to radio. RCA Nashville is home to Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Jake Owen, Chris Young, Kane Brown, Ryan Hurd and Old Dominion.

“This is a dream come true for me. It is such an honor to be a part of RCA Nashville and the Sony Music Nashville family, and, I can’t thank Steve and Randy Goodman enough for inviting me to join their team," Reese said.

In a media release, Hodges touted Reese's "rock solid reputation" in the music industry. Reese began his career in radio, where he programmed stations in Miami, Charlotte and Orlando.
