Rich Zeoli, longtime afternoon drive host on Philadelphia's Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, announced he is ending his current four-hour radio program at the end of this week to launch a new one-hour, nationally focused podcast.
The podcast will debut next week, airing locally on WPHT from 6-7 p.m. as the station's flagship home, with video and audio versions released earlier for on-demand access.
Zeoli cited family priorities as a key factor, noting that afternoon drive scheduling has made it harder to attend his children's events and has placed extra burden on his wife.
He expressed excitement about the shift, calling it "the best of both worlds" by embracing podcasting's growth while maintaining a radio presence, aiming to create a "game changer" with broader national appeal.
Zeoli has been with WPHT for 15 years, previously hosting mornings before returning to afternoons in 2022.
