Late Sunday into early Monday, vandalism and burglaries targeted businesses in downtown Los Angeles and the Civic Center. The unrest included the burning of Waymo vehicles, attacks on police cruisers with rocks and electric scooters, and widespread vandalism. Though confined to a few blocks, the events have garnered global attention, particularly after President Trump deployed the National Guard to the city.
