FOX Nation has secured a new deal with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese for a second season of the docudrama series "Martin Scorsese Presents: THE SAINTS," announced on Wednesday.
The series, hosted, narrated, and executive produced by Scorsese, will feature eight new episodes premiering in November 2025 and running through Spring 2026. Each episode will focus on a single saint, including Saint Mary the Virgin, Saint Peter, Saint Carlo Acutis, Saint Patrick, Saint Paul, Saint Longinus, Saint Lucia, and Saint Thomas Becket, exploring their acts of kindness, selflessness, and sacrifice over 2,000 years of history.
The first season, which premiered in November 2024, became FOX Nation’s most-watched and highest-engaged series, featuring saints like Joan of Arc, John the Baptist, and Francis of Assisi, generating millions of unique views.
The series was created by Matti Leshem for Lionsgate Alternative Television, with Kent Jones as the writer and Elizabeth Chomko as the director. Additional executive producers include Julie Yorn, Rick Yorn, Christopher Donnelly, Lisa Frechette, Yoshi Stone, Matt Loze, David Ellender, and Craig Piligian. The docudrama aligns with Scorsese’s long-standing interest in faith, seen in his films like The Last Temptation of Christ and Silence.
