Red Apple Expands Anthony Cumia To 3 Hours

Anthony Cumia
Due to the demand from radio stations and listeners, Red Apple Audio Networks and 77WABC Radio have extended the nationally syndicated Anthony Cumia Show to three hours from two. The Anthony Cumia Show now airs live on 77WABC from 8 to 11pm ET every Sunday and will be available to affiliates beginning Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Cumia first joined the iconic 77WABC on March 8 and in record time was syndicated to other markets just one week later on March 16. Currently, 20 stations have picked up the popular program and more will be announced soon.

“The response from listeners and affiliates to Anthony’s return to radio has been astounding,” said Chad Lopez, President of Red Apple Media and 77WABC Radio. “Listeners and affiliates were clamoring for more Anthony Cumia, so we extended his show.”

Digital statistics show Cumia’s 77WABC podcast has 100,522 downloads since the show’s debut on March 9. First-time 77WABC App users jumped 2945% around his debut, vs the same time a year ago.

“I missed radio as much – perhaps more – than radio missed me,” said Cumia. “I’m thrilled that WABC Radio gave me the opportunity to return to my radio fans.”

Cumia has a long history on radio, beginning in 1994 as one half of Opie and Anthony, first on WBAB on Long Island, WAAF in Boston, eventually landing on WNEW-FM in New York City, where the duo hosted afternoon drive and went into syndication around the country. By 2004, the show moved to subscription-based XM Satellite Radio (now SiriusXM). In 2014, Cumia launched The Anthony Cumia Show through another subscription-based platform.
