New Dana Perino Book Available Starting Today

Dana Perino’s new book, I Wish Someone Had Told Me…: The Best Advice for Building a Great Career and a Meaningful Life, set for release on April 22, 2025, is the 14th title from FOX News Books. Perino, a Fox News anchor, co-host of The Five and America’s Newsroom, and former White House Press Secretary under George W. Bush, draws on her 20 years of mentoring experience to offer a blueprint for personal and professional success.

The book compiles advice from over 40 of Perino’s friends, colleagues, and mentors, including Fox News personalities like Bret Baier, Jesse Watters, Ainsley Earhardt, and Martha MacCallum, as well as country music star Dierks Bentley and Perino’s college roommate, Andrea Aragon.

It covers topics such as finding the right career path, securing opportunities, achieving work-life balance, avoiding burnout, and planning for retirement. Perino emphasizes practical, timeless insights for new graduates, professionals transitioning careers, or anyone seeking self-improvement.

Inspired by her mother’s reaction to Perino’s earlier book, Everything Will Be Okay, and updated for the post-COVID work environment, the book addresses modern challenges like rejecting remote work isolation. Notable advice includes Baier’s “Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do,” MacCallum’s call to “never stop growing,” and Bentley’s “Do what you love, and let success find you.” Perino also shares personal tips, like doubling the tip at breakfast for demanding morning customers.

Available for pre-order at retailers like Amazon (hardcover ~$20.30, Kindle ~$15), autographed editions are offered through Premiere Collectibles with a 1-2 week signing delay post-release. The book is marketed as a mentorship guide, blending Perino’s insights with diverse voices to create a “one-stop shop” for career and life advice.
