Ted Nugent defended his pal Joe Rogan and attacked Howard Stern on his YouTube Show last week, calling the radio host an “isolated jackass” who doesn’t respect “alternative points of view.”
“I was on Howard Stern’s radio show going all the way back to the ‘70s, and I’ve watched him turn into an isolated jackass, really, not really respecting alternative points of view and presuming and falsely accusing me, for example,” Nugent said on Wednesday’s edition of the “The Nightly Nuge.”
The NY Daily News reports the conservative rocker did not specify what exactly Stern had accused him of, but the two have been prominent voices on opposite sides of the COVID vaccine debate. Nugent refused to get vaccinated and caught COVID in April 2021, shortly after the vaccines became available.
On the other hand, Stern has consistently called out prominent figures who have refused the vaccine.
“He’s a f---ing selfish pr--k,” Stern said of NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers in November 2021.
On Wednesday, Nugent compared Stern to Rogan, saying he easily preferred Rogan’s popular podcast to Stern’s popular radio show.
“I’ve had a good time with people like Howard Stern, who’s a powerful force in the media, but he was never a journalist, he was never a truth seeker,” Nugent said. “And Joe Rogan has accomplished that with much aplomb, dare I say.”
