San Bernardino Radio: Anthony & Heather Return To K-FROG

Heather Froglear and Anthony Donatelli both teased there’d be big news on Monday afternoon, and when the clock struck 3 p.m. their secret was revealed: Eight months after a shake-up at Country KFRG K-FROG 95.1 split up their on-air partnership, they are being reunited as hosts of the weekday afternoon show.

“So it is the moment you have all been waiting for: ‘Heather & Anthony,’ what is up?” Froglear said during the first break in music after the new show started at 3 p.m.

“Yesterday, my social media was blowing up,” Donatelli said of the reaction after he posted that big news was on the way and fans thought he might be moving away. “Now I’m joining you for afternoons and I could not be happier,” he said.

“I can’t tell you how excited we are to team up two amazing talents, Heather and Anthony Donatelli,” said Michael Valenzuela, senior vice president and market manager for station owner Audacy in the Riverside market. “Their passion for country music, their infectious personalities, and their huge hearts in giving back to our Southern California communities made this decision an easy one.

“Our listeners love them both, and we’re happy to bring a sense of familiarity back to K-FROG after a difficult year,” Valenzuela said.

SBSun reports the Heather & Anthony Show will air from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, same as it had until September 2020 when Entercom, as Audacy was previously known, made changes at numerous stations around the country.

At the time, Donatelli moved to weekends and overnights, and Froglear was teamed with Kimo Jensen, a longtime host at KSON 103.7 FM in San Diego, who now resumes a solo show at the San Diego station.

The Kimo & Heather Show also started to be syndicated regionally in September, and the Heather & Anthony Show will continue that practice with simulcasts in Phoenix, Portland and Seattle.

In a second change at K-FROG, weekend host Dana Swearingen will add more shifts to her schedule, taking over the midnight to 5 a.m. weekday shift that Donatelli had held until now. She will also continue hosting her current 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. shows on Saturdays and Sundays.
