Trace Adkins Hosting Throwback Thirty Show on SiriusXM

Country artist Trace Adkins will host a weekly country radio station on SiriusXM, according to fdrmx.com.

The radio show on SiriusXM's Y2Kountry channel entitled The Throwback Thirty will countdown songs from the Billboard country charts. Throwback Thirty will take Billboard’s Top 30 songs from the same week, but from different decades.

Adkins’ country radio show will premiere on March 15th at 10am (Eastern standard time). For the debut show, Throwback Thirty will feature the Top 30 country songs from the March 15th week in the year 2000. Some of country music’s biggest songs in the early 2000s include Faith Hill “Breathe,” Tim McGraw “My Best Friend,” Dixie Chicks “Cowboy Take Me Away,” and Toby Keith “How Do You Like Me Now.”

Adkins is definitely no stranger to utilizing his speaking voice. The country star has done a lot of voiceover work. Adkins’ has lent his voice to several television series including King of the Hill, American Dad, and Higglytown Heroes. The country singer’s voice can even be heard on Firestone tire commercials too.

Adkins is also continuing to build his acting career. He will appear on an episode of NBC’s The Night Shift this year in May. Adkins made a guest appearance in the film Roadrunner last year, which is a movie about car racing.
