The music streaming service Rdio has just announced a number of new features.
Most notably, users can take advantage of Songkick tour date integration. Available to view on artists profile pages, users can easily click through to purchase concert tickets for their favorite musicians.
When a listener shares a song or album on Twitter from the service, the artist’s verified handle will automatically populate so the musician can see how popular their music is and engage with fans.
Another addition is new radio stations curated by 20 leading record labels including Def Jam, Mute, Sub Pop, Domino, and Warner Nashville. The stations will features curated songs that the label is excited about.
Finally, along with a curated New Music Weekly station, users can reply when a friends shares music with them.
Rdio is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini and includes Pandora-like radio stations for listening.
You can purchase a subscription, which includes unlimited ad-free song listening, for $9.99 per month.
