Glenn Beck Reveals Neurological Illness

Glenn Beck
A tearful Glenn Beck revealed on Monday that he's been battling some serious health issues, "from an autoimmune disorder to adrenal fatigue," but, according to USA Today,  he says therapy and lifestyle changes have cured him.

"After months of treatment and completely changing the way I eat, sleep, work and live, along with ongoing hormone treatment and intensive physical therapy, I have reversed the process. Some of the physical scars will be with me for the rest of my life … but my brain is back online in a big way," the conservative talk-show host said on TheBlaze, the online network he founded in 2011.

Beck says his health problems began about five years ago during his Restoring Honor event in Washington, D.C. He says he started suffering vocal cord paralysis, vision problems, sleep issues, seizures and extreme pain in his limbs.

The most frightening part, Beck says, was when he was tested for a traumatic brain injury. Doctors told him he scored in the bottom 10% and would most likely be unable to function normally in five to 10 years.

Medical experts couldn't figure out what was wrong with him, but Beck says he finally found answers and healing at the Carrick Brain Centers in Texas. Now, he has "received a clean bill of health."
