Waco Radio: WACO, Zack & Jim Sign Extention

The popular Zack & Jim radio team on “Waco 100” will have another three years to keep morning motorists entertained, according to wacotrib.com.

Zack Owen and Jim Cody for 21 years have been the most listened-to radio personalities between Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin, according to Arbitron ratings, and they have been rewarded with a contract extension from Clear Channel Communications, which owns WACO 99.9 FM.

Owen will remain as program director for the country station; operations manager for Waco-Killeen; and programming manager for 27 Clear Channel stations in Texas.

“It’s our commitment to our community and to our fans that keeps us going,” the duo said in a release. “We love keeping our listeners informed about local events and making our listeners laugh each day. Each morning we play our national anthem and say the Pledge of Allegiance in honor of our men and women serving our great nation.

“We truly live the dream every day.”
