A 35-year-old Orlando woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly firing multiple rounds from an AR-15-style rifle at pop star Rihanna's gated Los Angeles home, where the singer was present with her partner A$AP Rocky and their children.
No one was injured in the incident, which occurred around 1:15 p.m. in the Beverly Crest/Beverly Hills area.
The Orlando Sentinel reports police responded to reports of shots fired, located the suspect in a vehicle shortly after, recovered the weapon, and took her into custody without further incident. She was booked into jail with bail set at $10.225 million.
The Los Angeles Police Department identified the suspect as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz. Voter records link her to Orlando addresses in recent years, and she has a prior traffic citation in Florida for careless driving.
Investigators have not publicly disclosed a motive, but social media posts attributed to an account belonging to an Ivanna Ortiz from Orlando show prior fixation on Rihanna. In mid-February, the account shared content falsely claiming Rihanna had AIDS, including a post with a photo of Drake and a caption about him "finding out," followed by a direct tag to Rihanna accusing her of avoiding confrontation and using derogatory language.
The district attorney has not yet formally announced charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
