Lawrence’s appointment follows his departure from 7 Mountains Media, where he served as Market Manager for a six-station cluster in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Marietta, Ohio, for about a year.

His extensive career includes leadership roles such as General Manager of the RAB’s National Radio Talent System, Market Manager for New South Radio in Jackson, Mississippi, President and CEO of Pinnacle Media Worldwide, and corporate VP of Programming/Content at Saga Communications.

He also launched his on-air career over 40 years ago at WXIL, part of the Parkersburg market.

Lawrence expressed enthusiasm about joining MacDonald Broadcasting, citing his prior acquaintance with owner Kenneth “Mac” MacDonald Jr. during his Detroit tenure and praising the company’s forward-thinking approach and family-owned structure. He highlighted the involvement of MacDonald’s daughter, Mackenzie, in the leadership team, noting the company’s third-generation commitment to quality content in Saginaw and Lansing.
