SummitMedia, LLC announced today that Tom Hanrahan is the new WZZK Program Director. In addition, he serves in a corporate role as Vice President of Country Programming and Talent Development.
Hanrahan joins SummitMedia from iHeartMedia, where he served as Alabama’s Area Senior Vice President of Programming for 25 years, the last 20 with the Birmingham cluster, programming WDXB. Hanrahan has driven and overseen multifaceted consumer engagement strategies for over three decades. In this new role, he combines his decades of experience and passion for Country music and the Birmingham market.

In his new corporate role, Hanrahan focuses on the strategy, goals, and programming execution for all of SummitMedia’s Country stations. He will work closely with Program Directors and Market Presidents to grow the brands they oversee.

Hanrahan will also work with talent throughout the company, teaching and helping them grow and reach their full potential.
