Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Griff Jenkins issued an on-air statement Saturday distancing the program from a guest who had labeled New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani a “terrorist.”
Conservative 77WABC radio host Sid Rosenberg made the remarks earlier in the show while discussing an Upper West Side stabbing attack earlier in the week in which a man allegedly stabbed two people while shouting “Allahu Akbar.” One victim was Jewish and the other Asian; the suspect, 51-year-old Raul Morales, faces attempted murder as a hate crime and other charges related to the Jewish victim. “This guy is a terrorist. That’s the bottom line, I’ll say it. You don’t want to say it, I’ll say it. He’s a terrorist, he’s a jihadist,” Rosenberg said of Mamdani.
He accused the mayor of hating Jewish people, America, and various ethnic groups unless they are Muslim, called him a “horrible person,” and asserted that “that blood is on his hands” for the stabbing.

“We’ve got to find a way to get this guy out of here,” Rosenberg added. Jenkins interjected during the segment, telling Rosenberg, “I think you may be a bit over your skis in calling him, in labeling him a terrorist and you’re probably going to be flagged for that.” Rosenberg replied, “Why?” and continued criticizing the mayor as a “low life.”
Later, Jenkins addressed the comments on air: “We know there are heated feelings around this war last hour, while discussing the role anti-Israel is playing in the rise of antisemitism, one of our guests labeled New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a quote, terrorist. Now that word carries an extremely serious meaning, it should not be used freely and it’s important we distinguish between strong political criticism and factual allegations.”
Rosenberg later posted the full segment on X, standing by his assertions and noting that Fox had apologized twice on his behalf after the appearance. The stabbing occurred Thursday near Central Park West and Amsterdam Avenue; both victims were treated and expected to survive. Mayor Mamdani had described the attacks as “horrifying.”
