FOX News Channel Outranks ABC And CBS In Primetime


FOX News Channel (FNC) concluded the week of July 6th with over 2.4 million weekday primetime viewers and 2.1 million Monday - Sunday primetime viewers, outranking ABC (2.1 million weekday viewers; 1.9 million Monday - Sunday viewers) and CBS (2 million weekday viewers; 1.952 million Monday - Sunday viewers), according to Nielsen Media Research Big Data + Panel. 

In Monday – Sunday total day, FNC nabbed nearly 1.5 million viewers and in weekday total day, FNC notched over 1.7 million viewers. Notably, ABC posted its lowest-rated primetime week of the 21st century among the 25-54 demo, averaging 279,000 viewers.


FNC’s The Five continued to dominate the week, claiming over 3.3 million viewers and 279,000 in the 25-54 demo. In the 6 PM/ET hour, Special Report with Bret Baier garnered 2.6 million viewers and 238,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 7 PM/ET, The Ingraham Angle saw more than 2.4 million viewers and 211,000 in the 25-54 demo. During the 8 PM/ET hour, Jesse Watters Primetime clinched almost 2.6 million viewers and 216,000 in the 25-54 demo. In the 9 PM/ET hour, Hannity delivered nearly 2.1 million viewers and 157,000 in the 25-54 demo. At 11PM/ET, FOX News @ Night with Trace Gallagher secured 1.4 million viewers and 151,000 in the 25-54 demo.



FNC’s late-night hit Gutfeld! (weeknights, 10 PM/ET) edged out the competition with more than 2.6 million primetime viewers, dominating ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1.8 million viewers), CBS’ airings of Comics Unleashed hour one (809,000 viewers), Comedy Central’s The Daily Show (425,000 viewers), and Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live (274,000 viewers).



FNC’s daytime programs continued to outpace the broadcast competition. America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9AM-11AM/ET; 1.8 million viewers), The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11AM-12PM/ET; 1.7 million viewers), Outnumbered (weekdays, 12 PM/ET; 1.7 million viewers), America Reports (weekdays, 1PM-3PM/ET; 1.6 million viewers), The Story with Martha MacCallum (weekdays, 3-4PM/ET; 1.8 million viewers) and The Will Cain Show (weekdays, 4-5PM/ET; 2 million viewers) all outranked NBC’s Today with Jenna & Sheinelle (1.4 million viewers) and ABC’s GMA3 (1.5 million viewers).

SATURDAY:  Kayleigh McEnany's Saturday In America (Saturdays, 10AM-12PM/ET) led the day with nearly 1.6 million viewers. FOX News Live (Saturdays, 12-2PM/ET) anchored by Aishah Hasnie claimed almost 1.3 million viewers and The Big Weekend Show (weekends, 5-8PM/ET), co-hosted by Tomi Lahren and Johnny Joey Jones, clinched nearly 1.2 million viewers. In primetime, Life, Liberty, & Levin (weekends, 8-9PM/ET) notched more than 1.1 million viewers, My View with Lara Trump (Saturdays, 9PM/ET) posted 1.1 million viewers, and FOX News Saturday Night (Saturdays, 10PM-11PM/ET) hosted by Jimmy Failla garnered almost 1.1 million viewers.

SUNDAY: Sunday Morning Futures (Sundays, 10 AM/ET) with Maria Bartiromo delivered almost 1.9 million viewers, ranking as the top cable news program of the weekend. The Sunday Briefing (Sundays, 11 AM/ET), anchored this week by Peter Doocy, claimed more than 1.5 million viewers while FOX News Live (Sundays, 12-2PM/ET) anchored by chief Washington correspondent Mike Emanuel secured over 1.4 million viewers. The Big Weekend Show (weekends, 5-8PM/ET) posted over 1.7 million viewers. In primetime, Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy (Sundays, 9 PM/ET) led the way, averaging nearly 1.8 million viewers. Life, Liberty, & Levin (weekends, 8-9PM/ET) saw over 1.5 million viewers and One Nation with Brian Kilmeade (Sundays, 10PM/ET) saw more than 1.3 million viewers.
