KVET said the return reconnects the duo with Central Texas listeners who made their show a daily favorite. Station president Christine Escobar praised the hosts’ deep listener ties and legacy appeal, saying their return strengthens KVET’s lineup and community connections.
JB said the comeback “feels like picking up the conversation right where we left off,” noting Austin has changed but still “loves a good morning show.” Sandy highlighted KVET’s storied history and thanked station leadership for bringing the team back.
“We’ve always said the JB and Sandy show was really about the relationship with Austin,” said JB Hager. “It feels like picking up the conversation right where we left off. Austin has changed a lot since we were last on the air—but one thing hasn’t: this city still loves a good morning show. We’re excited to be part of it again. We couldn’t ask for a better home than the legendary KVET.”
