Hartford Radio: WDRC FM Simulcast Launches As 'Trump Radio'

A talk radio station is paying homage to the right-wing’s current head honcho — one President Donald J. Trump — as it makes the move to FM airwaves, reports ctpost.com.

Talk of Connecticut WDRC, a Hartford-area station, will rebrand as Trump 103.3 for the first few weeks on the air. Thereafter, it’ll be known by the same name as its AM counterpart, and broadcast the same lineup of local and syndicated conservative talk radio hosts.

A spokesman for the station said the Trump campaign is in no way affiliated with the station.

“There’s no legal partnership or anything like that,” said Dan Lemire, a national sales assistant for Full Power Radio, which owns WDRC.

John Fuller, owner of Full Power Radio, has said the goal of Trump 103.3 is to “unite conservatives in Connecticut” and turn the state red. The station’s promos call for the firing of Gov. Ned Lamont.

An exact launch date for the station has not been decided, but the station’s application for an FM translator was approved by the Federal Communications Commission last year. Trump 103.3 is the FM simulcast of WDRC 1360 AM- Hartford, WMMW 1470 AM- Meriden and WSNG 610 AM Torrington

The AM station’s lineup currently features local morning show “Brad Davis & Friends,” Mike Gallagher, local host Lee Elci with syndicated commentary from Bill O’Reilly. The syndicated Dana Loesch, Michael Savage Ben Shapiro, and Wayne Allen Root shows round out the daily lineup.
