France Is Burning, Fox News Knows Who's Behind It

A Fox News Digital investigation has identified 54 organizations and movements that organized, supported, or amplified France’s October student protests and the wider wave of riots and unrest that followed, according to a report published Monday.

Of those 54 groups, only 16—roughly one-third—are student or youth organizations. These include communist youth groups and a Muslim student association. The remaining 38 consist of adult-led communist organizations, labor unions, political parties, revolutionary-left groups, advocacy organizations, and international propaganda outlets.

The network includes revolutionary socialist groups, Palestinian-solidarity organizations, the radical far-left Yellow Vests (Gilets jaunes), and the far-left socialist party La France Insoumise (France Unbowed). From the start, far-left socialist and communist groups helped organize and amplify the student actions, using complaints about school conditions as a pretext to push a broader political fight against capitalism, government austerity, policing, and military spending, the report found.

The investigation, which framed the effort as a “Chaos Inc.” network, also noted international amplification by outlets and groups linked to Neville Roy Singham, a Shanghai-based Marxist tech tycoon. These include Tricontinental and the New York-based BreakThrough News, which promoted coverage of the weekend’s violence. Separately, 28 communist and socialist youth organizations across 12 European countries are mobilizing for a coordinated November 20 strike under the slogan “Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars,” calling for walkouts, blockades, and mass demonstrations.

The findings undercut the early narrative that the unrest was driven primarily by student grievances. Protests that began over school conditions escalated into nationwide confrontations involving riots, looting, and attacks on public buildings. Authorities reported hundreds of arrests—more than 800 in one accounting, and nearly 2,000 over the weekend in another—along with injured police officers and widespread property damage in cities including Paris.
