Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has generated nearly $13.9 million in estimated label and publisher revenue worldwide since its October 2025 release, according to Billboard’s analysis of Luminate data.
In the United States alone, the song has brought in nearly $10.5 million. Those totals cover audio streams, video streams, digital sales and U.S. radio airplay. They do not include album sales from Langley’s Dandelion, on which the track is the lead single, and they do not represent what Langley or her co-writers personally earn; those shares depend on private contract terms.
Of the $13.9 million global figure, Billboard estimates nearly $8 million came from label revenue and nearly $6 million from publishing royalties. Radio’s unusually large role helped lift the publishing share: the song has logged more than 977,000 U.S. airplay spins, which Billboard values at more than $2.4 million.
The financial run tracks a historic chart run. At 21 weeks and counting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, “Choosin’ Texas” is the longest-running non-holiday No. 1 of all time, ahead of Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (19 weeks each). It sits one week behind Mariah Carey’s all-time record of 22 weeks with “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
The song is also the longest Hot 100 No. 1 by a country artist and the longest by a woman with a country hit. Released Oct. 17, 2025, on SAWGOD/Columbia, with Triple Tigers promoting it to country radio, the track first reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 in February 2026 and has returned to the top in multiple separate stays. Langley cowrote it with Luke Dick, Miranda Lambert and Joybeth Taylor and coproduced it with Lambert and Ben West.
It has also topped charts in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
