The Jerusalem Post today published an article discussing Anthony Cumia's return to radio with a new show on 77WABC, despite his history of making antisemitic and racist comments.
The article highlights that Cumia, a well-known shock jock previously fired from SiriusXM in 2014 for a racist social media tirade, has over the past few years posted a series of offensive remarks on platforms like X.
These include antisemitic, racist, and pro-Hitler statements, such as declaring April 22, 2024, as “Adolf Hitler Visibility Day” in response to Transgender Day of Visibility and suggesting that white people globally should adopt the anger of 1930s Germany. It also notes his admiration for figures like Nick Fuentes, a known white supremacist and Holocaust denier, and his anti-Black sentiments, including references to lynching and the Confederacy.
The piece mentions that Cumia’s new show, which aired its first episode on a Sunday in March 2025, did not feature overt antisemitism but included subtle references to “globalists” and a riff about Jeffrey Epstein and Hollywood influence.Despite his controversial history, WABC and its parent company, Red Apple Media, have not commented on the hire, though the station’s owner, John Catsimatidis, later told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that Cumia would be fired if he made antisemitic remarks on air, emphasizing WABC’s pro-Jewish stance.
The article also notes Cumia’s friendship with Sid Rosenberg, another WABC host with a controversial past, and the announcement that Cumia’s show is being nationally syndicated following its debut, indicating apparent support from the network despite his record.
