Miami Radio: Brian Mudd Named Producer, Co-Host At WIOD


iHeartMedia Miami’s NewsRadio 610 AM- WIOD announced Monday that Manny Munoz has been named Midday Co-Host from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., effective Monday, January 9, 2023.

As midday co-host, Munoz will be responsible for producing and hosting WIOD’s new program. The show will focus on day-to-day life in South Florida and discuss the biggest news stories of the day, politics, current events and pop culture in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. A nationwide search is underway for a part-time midday co-host for Munoz. 

He replaces Brian Mudd, who will continue as Morning Host and Program Director in West Palm Beach for NewsRadio WJNO 1290. Munoz will report to Grace Blazer, Vice-President of News and AM Programming for iHeartMedia Miami.

Manny Munoz has been with NewsRadio 610, WIOD for over two decades. He has served as Executive Producer, fill-in host, sports reporter, and side kick for South Florida’s First News with Jimmy Cefalo for the past 14 years. Munoz also contributes to programming on Fox Sports 940. Manny and his wife Tatiana live in Pembroke Pines with their two young children.

  1. Happy for Manny. Sad to see Jimmy retire but understand him leaving . Upset that Brian is not on WIOD anymore at 10am. Always look forward to listening to him.
    My mornings will definitely be different during my drive time.
