And The 2022 Rock Hall Inductees Are...

Eminem, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and more. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022 isn’t short on icons, reports cleveland.com.

Joining those aforementioned three names in this year’s induction class are Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eurythmics and Carly Simon. The inductees will be honored during a ceremony set for Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Calif.

“This diverse group of inductees each had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture and helped change the course of Rock & Roll,” said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “Their music moved generations and influenced so many artists that followed.”

To be eligible for Rock Hall induction, an artist music have released its first official recording at least 25 years before Induction. Eminem is the only member of this year’s class to earn induction during the first year of eligibility.

In addition, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has once again used its specialty categories to build its annual class. Judas Priest (one of this year’s nominees) and songwriting/production team Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis will be inducted via the Rock Hall’s Music Excellence Award.

Entertainment industry legend Harry Belafonte and folk/blues pioneer Elizabeth “Libba” Cotten will be inducted as Early Influencers. Entertainment lawyer Allen Grubman, record executive Jimmy Iovine and hip-hop record producer Sylvia Robinson will each receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

The annual induction ceremony will be recorded to air at a later date on HBO and HBO Max. Ticket information for the 2022 event will be announced in the coming months.
