NYC Radio: Charlamagne tha God Could Leave 'The Breakfast Club'

As WWPR 105.1 FM morning host  Charlamagne tha God (real named: Lenard Larry McKelveydly) reportedly is considering leaving 'The Breakfast Club wen his contract expires at the end of the year.

An insider tells Page Six at the NY Post he already has “a lot of other potential deals in the air.”

“The Breakfast Club” — the New York-based syndicated  show he hosts with DJ Envy and Angela Yee — has become not just a magnet for hip-hop’s biggest stars, but so influential that NBC has called it “a crucial stop for 2020 Democrats.”

But Charlamagne, who founded the show in 2010, has been musing on-air about moving on, going so far as to say he’s “mentally quit” the show a lot.

“He loves working for [Power 105.1 parent company] iHeartMedia, but he is contemplating his next move,” the source told us.

His contract is up in December.
