Inductees were selected by the New York State Broadcaster’s Association Board of Directors. Esiason will be will be inducted at the Broadcast Leadership and Hall of Fame Luncheon during the NAB New York Show in October.
“We’re very proud Boomer Esiason has been selected for the New York State Broadcaster’s Association’s highest honor,” said Susan Larkin, Regional President and Market Manager, Entercom New York. “Boomer has been a cornerstone of this station since his arrival and this distinguished recognition represents his invaluable contributions to our station and industry overall.”

Esiason joined WFAN, the #1 most listened to sports station in the U.S., in 2007 and currently hosts “Boomer and Gio” on weekday mornings alongside Gregg Giannotti. After a 14-year career in the NFL, Esiason made his broadcast debut as a commentator for ABC’s NFL “Monday Night Football.” He has also called games for Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports' "Monday Night Football" broadcasts for nearly two decades and has served as a studio analyst for CBS Sports’ “The NFL Today” and Showtime’s “Inside the NFL.”
